As a new year breaks Planetlove WKD/ PLM Promotions can say we wholly enjoyed hosting some of the finest electronic music artists in the world over the past 12 months!
Easter heralded the beginning of our big one-off shows, starting with Holland’s finest - Q Dance - at St George’s Market, Belfast.
Then on June 6th Planetlove Ireland rocked Fairyhouse Racecourse near Dublin to the sounds of dance music giants Ferry Corsten, Dave Clarke, Markus Schulz and over 70 notable others, as we hosted our third annual Planetlove in the South of Ireland.
Two weeks later, on June 19th, we made musical history in one of Ireland’s most beautiful seaside towns by laying on a 15,000-strong concert in Newcastle’s Donard Park, headlined by The Prodigy and supported by Deadmau5, Hot Chip and Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.
Then on September 5th the 11th annual Planetlove WKD took place at Shane’s Castle, Antrim, featuring a stunning array of global superstars including Paul van Dyk, Fedde le Grand, Judge Jules and a cross-section of the finest dance music artists on the globe.
On Boxing Night, December 26th, our mammoth Winter Party in the King’s Hall Complex, Belfast, delivered a truly mesmerizing light show headed up by global heavyweights Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, John O’Callaghan and very special guest Sander van Doorn.
And in between those milestone events we hosted the first Kiddstock show here in Ireland, brought Eddie Halliwell and his Fire It Up crew to the spectacular Rose of Tralee Festival Dome and entertained thousands of clubbers with our monthly residencies at the Beach Club, Odyssey Pavilion, Belfast, Clubland, Cookstown, and the Relic, Newry, as well as a host of club nights in venues both sides of the border.
Those residences continue into 2010, and our first big event of year - Kiddfectious’ 2nd birthday bash - hits the island on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th January for a two-night extravaganza in Dublin and Carlow - it’s also the official launch party for Kiddstock Ireland 2010!
Festival and event-wise we have some very exciting news to share in 2010, but until their official releases we can’t say much more.
And with lots of surprises in store throughout 2010 we hope you join us for what promises to be another 12 month rollercoaster journey through electronic music nirvana!
