Planet
Love has hooked up with www.nioldskool.co.uk
to offer DJs the chance to play an old skool
set in the festival’s Rendezvous arena.
The competition is open now and applicants are asked to submit an old skool mix, no longer than 45 minutes, via a file hosting site where it will be picked up by a member of the NIoldskool admin team.
Entries will then be hosted on the main NIoldskool main site for public download, and can be discussed in a specially created Planet Love competition room on the forum section.
The best three mixes will be chosen by the remaining board administrators and mixes will be numbered for judging rather than named by DJ to maintain impartiality.
Mixes will be judged on technical ability, tune selection, progression, originality and overall impression. The three finalists will be given seven days to create another mix submission for the Grand Final. The three mixes will then be hosted on the site for public voting by NIoldskool members for a period of two weeks.
The mix with the most votes at closing time
will be declared the winner and that DJ will
be given the opportunity to play their set
live in the Rendezvous arena at Planet Love
2006. See www.nioldskool.co.uk
for full details.
