Being on stage with the beautiful human being that is Judge Jules last year, who was a bit squiffy at the time to say the least, and live on Radio 1 to boot. What a legend.
What can we expect from your set at this years festival?
A bloody good sing along, hopefully. Get practising! |

Artist: Dave Clarke
Borrowing his mother’s disco records and his father’s music equipment, Dave Clarke was in to music from an early age.
A disruptive teenager, his fondness for music saw him retreat to the attic of his family home where he would make tapes for his friends and dismantle audio equipment to see how it worked.
Around the age of 16 Clarke got his first DJ break, playing at a club called Toppers in Brighton.
Other gigs soon followed and Clarke slowly climbed his way up the DJ ladder, securing his first foreign gig in Amsterdam in 1998.
Since then Clarke has went on to become an international superstar playing in cities as diverse as London and Singapore, and countries like Brazil and New Zealand.
His artist albums and mix CDs sell the world over and his unique ability to combine techno, electro, ghetto-tek and even hip hop ensure his gigs are as fresh sounding as ever.
Now one of the most in-demand techno-based DJs around, Clarke’s schedule is regularly booked up six months in advance.
He is one of the most popular DJs in Ibiza every summer and is a firm favourite amongst techno fans across Ireland. |

Artist: Sander van Doorn
Where are you and what are you doing at this very moment in time?
I’m at home just chilling. I am under strict instructions from my manager to take it as easy as possible between gigs as my diary is pretty full in August. I’m supposedly banned from the studio but I have crept in there a few times!
Being an international DJ as you are, what strange or cool places have you visited recently?
I’ve got to say that the best one this year was definitely Iceland. We went to the Blue Lagoon, which was amazing. My manager Jay covered himself in the mud from the bottom, all I could think about was that it looked like he’d smeared himself in something else! America was pretty great this year too, we went shooting and skydiving. I’m a bit of an adrenaline lover so anything that scares me is good!!
Tell us a joke:
What do you call a fish with no eyes...... FSH
Yeah, maybe I could have done better with that one!!
Name three essential items you will be bringing with you to PLANETLOVE WKD:
My records, my manager to translate the thick Irish accent for me and my smile ;-)
What can we expect from your set at this year’s festival?
Some house, some tech trance and some trance... anything that makes you want to dance really! |

Artist: Pendulum
Formed in 2002, the instant success achieved by Pendulum came as no surprise to those accustomed to the raw sounds of the Australian six-piece.
Fusing together elements of drum & bass, breakbeat, hardcore, punk and rock, their fresh sounding tracks were instantly picked up upon by radio stations and promoters the world over.
After selling over 225,000 copies of their debut artist album ‘Hold Your Colour’, remixing for bands such as The Prodigy and DJing around the globe, Pendulum retreated to the studio to work on new material and hone their sound for live performances!
Back and performing live at festivals around the world in 2008, Pendulum’s diverse sounds, energy and escapism is truly unique to the scene today.
Their stage presence, audience interaction and sheer passion for the music they play has pushed Pendulum to the forefront of electronic music in an era when an over-reliance on gimmicks and fx has saw other acts fall by the wayside.
And with gigs in the UK, USA, Russia, Canada, Ibiza, Holland, Mexico and Brazil to name but a few, the worldwide appeal of Pendulum is clear for all to see. |

Artist: Mauro Picotto
Born in to a family of stonemasons and dancers, a career as one of the world’s leading international DJs may not have been what many expected of Mauro Picotto.
But after DJing and producing in his native Italy, Picotto made a bid for UK stardom with the release of his trance track ‘Lizard’.
The track went on to be a Top 30 hit and was followed by the similarly named ‘Iguana’ and ‘Komodo’.
‘Komodo’ entered the UK Charts at number 11 and saw Picotto catapulted to the forefront of the UK club scene and beyond.
Appearances on Top of The Pops followed (Picotto being the first DJ to perform live on the show) and regular gigs in the UK’s super-clubs saw him become a household name.
Two artist albums and a host of remix work followed before Picotto began to make the transition in to techno around 2002/03.
Since then he has went on to establish his Meganite brand as one of the biggest on the globe with regular parties in Ibiza, London and Miami to name but a few. |

I am sitting in a plane on my way from Tenerife to the UK.
You play regularly in Northern Ireland. How does it compare to the rest of the UK and Europe?
I think it is one of the best crowds there is in the world. Every DJ says so but it is really true.
We love you here at PLANETLOVE. If you were to take us on a date where would you take us and why!?
I would take you all to my own ‘In Charge’ party in my own home town. It is in a old theatre in the middle of the forest. It’s a great party and one of my highlights of the year but when I can add some Planetlove crowd into this party I think it will be even better!

My Favourite one has to be the very first Planetlove ten years ago - there was a peace agreement in our wonderful land, El Nino was breaking all records for us all over the world and I was playin’ before PVD. It was rough and ready but it was the first one and you know what the they say about things first time round! What a gig to remember and a great year - 1998.
Tell us your funniest Planetlove experience?
I turned up at the gate one year to go in and they wouldn't let me. The guy there said it wasn't me, that I had already arrived in a helicopter! I was laughing. I had all the passes etc but he was convinced so eventually Sandra turned up and saved the day! I only live 20 minutes away ha ha a helicopter ..
What can we expect from your set at this years festival?
Well as its the tenth Birthday we've been asked to play a few tunes from ten years ago so I'm sure you'll hear El Nino and it'll be uplifting trance all the way. |

In 2007 at Planetlove South I arrived on stage for my set to a near empty Good Greef arena. I put my head down for two minutes to select my first track and looked up to see the tent at full capacity as thousands flooded in just in time for my intro. It was a huge moment for me and I was astonished at the speed that the tent managed to fill with so many people!
